Helpers do crucial work for families, say employers

SINGAPORE – From cooking to cleaning to taking care of the children and elderly parents, migrant domestic workers (MDWs) have kept many families going even as the coronavirus pandemic upended lives.

Amid the current shortage of new MDWs, four employers told The Sunday Times that they intend to hold on to their maids and would not want them to leave because the work they do is crucial for their families.
