Recently,the Asia Climate Forum 2023 is officially launching with an exhibition in Singapore, inviting major organizations such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), national meteorological and hydrological departments, and national environmental agencies to discuss global climate change with a focus on meteorological and hydrological services worldwide. The China Meteorological Service Association is participating in this international exhibition, along with Moji Weather and other benchmark weather companies in China.

During the WMO PPE session, Yaohai Huang, Senior Vice President of Moji Weather, delivered a speech titled “Commercial Weather Services Drive China’s Public Services” to attendees. He highlighted the collaboration between commercial weather companies and meteorological authorities in providing valuable services for national and regional public activities. For instance, Moji Weather and other commercial weather service providers teamed up with the China Meteorological Administration, research institutes, colleges, and universities to develop refined weather forecasting technology for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Through cooperation and the application of modern technologies such as AI, they have complemented each other’s strengths and improved forecast accuracy, especially for Winter Olympic venues.

Yaohai Huang also emphasized the complementary nature of social and professional meteorological observation, stating that “carrying out social meteorological observation while ensuring the safety of meteorological data can increase the density of meteorological stations and generate more ‘intelligence’ in meteorological observation.” Moji Weather’s “Sky Observer Program” is aimed at social observation based on user-generated observation, recording, and sharing. This program will help public institutions in their meteorological observation efforts and contribute to disaster prevention and reduction efforts in the country.

With the theme “Hello New Weather, Hello New World,” Moji Weather expressed its goodwill to jointly understand, communicate, and create the future to the exhibition’s global audience. To align with the exhibition theme, Moji Weather set up three sections at its booth: “Enterprise Introduction” “AI Technologies for Weather” and “Business Weather Services” These sections show the company’s image, highlighted its meteorological services and core technology, and offer solutions for extreme weather and climate change. Moji Weather aims to drive progress in the industry through cooperation with consumers, businesses, and government agencies.

At the section of “Enterprise Introduction”, guests from all over the world can rapidly acquire information about Moji Weather, as well as its key products, such as “short-time radar function”, and its scenario-based services, such as forecasts for allergy, rainfall and flower appreciation. At the section of “Al Technologies for Weather”, Moji Weather displayed advanced technologies, such as meteorological big data, global weather data visualization, machine learning image recognition technology,numerical weather model MOS. Moji Ocean Meteorological Navigation Platform was particularly showcased. At the section of “Business Weather Service”, Moji Weather demonstrated the application of Moji Chibi, a weather data and meteorological service solution for industrial customers, in navigation, transportation, environmental protection, agriculture and sports events. The “meteorology + industry” customized business model of Moji Chibi was further displayed.

 

The appearance of Moji Weather at the Asia Climate Forum marks that the company has begun to embrace the new world and new weather. This is also the first step for the world to understand Moji.
